What are your opening hours?

First we need a referral from your vet - click here, then we can book you an appointment over the phone or by email / whats app

How do I make an appointment?

We need 24 hours notice, anything less incurs a full charge. Please give as much notice as possible, we have many animals waiting for appointments and have to cover the costs of our staff and facilities during empty slots

What is your cancellation policy?

No, we need to prioritise dogs with injuries, illness or medical conditions at present. We only see animals after if your vet has sent us a referral.

Do you offer fun and fitness swims, or puppy swimming lessons?

Yes, we require all owners to stay with their animal during the whole duration of every appointment. This is for safety, for keeping your animal at ease and for giving you physiotherapy advice and exercise programmes to take home.

Can I stay with my dog during the session?

No, but a physiotherapist will be in the water with your animal for safe and therapeutic handling.

Can I get in the water with my pet?

We see all breeds of dog, as long as they have been referred by their vet. This includes XL Bullies - they must have a certificate of exemption and be muzzled on our premises at all times. If you are worried about your dog’s behaviour or they have needed muzzling at the vets, please bring a muzzle to your appointment and let us know any specific concerns prior to your appointment, so we can help to put your pet at ease and keep everybody safe.

Are there any breeds of dog you do not allow?

We can slowly and gently introduce your pet to water; the underwater treadmill is great for this as we control the water level. We use a ‘fear free’ approach and positive reinforcement for all our treatments. If we feel an animal is too frightened or stressed, we will stop and change our approach. Often dogs get used to the water with gradual exposure and sometimes even learn to love it! We can also use land-based physio only, without the need for any water (hydrotherapy), with great benefit too.

My pet is scared of water or never been in water, how do you approach this?

Do you accept pet insurance claims?

We are covered by most pet insurance providers - please check if your policy covers Physiotherapy or Hydrotherapy, or ‘complementary therapy’. All our physios are ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapists (Category A). We do not accept direct claims/payment from pet insures, but we are happy to fill out claim forms and provide invoices/receipts free of charge, so that owners can claim back the costs of their pet’s treatment after a course or block of sessions. If the insurer requires a physio report or release of full clinical notes, then an administration charge of £15 is payable first.

How do I contact you?

The best way to get in touch is by email or WhatsApp. We are often unable to answer the phone due to how busy our clinic is and we do not have a reception team. If you leave a message, we aim to get back to you within 3 working days. Click here for our contact info.
